Message for Bus 103 Afternoon Riders

Families of Bus 103 Afternoon Riders, 

We want to provide information to you about an incident that happened after students exited the bus at the Laurel Lake stop this afternoon. Once students left the bus stop area, at least two students began to fight. This fight did not begin on the bus, but started after students walked away from the bus stop. An individual, who was not on the bus, saw the fight and discharged a firearm into the air and into the ground. Thankfully, no one was injured. Law enforcement was called to the scene, and the bus was able to continue on its route. 

The investigation into this incident is being conducted by the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office. If your student has concerns or needs to talk, please know our administrators and school counselors are here for them.
